The Ritchie story: After 22 years, Jan Verlinden made the decision to leave his job and international career as a marketer. Having lived and worked in six different countries across three continents, by late 2017, he returned to his roots: his parents' brewery in Flemish Brabant, Belgium, where he relaunched Ritchie, a traditional Belgian lemonade based on an old family recipe. Jan will present the story of Ritchie's relaunch: the ambition to launch his favorite soft drink in one of the world's most competitive markets. Jan shares the difficult decisions he had to make and the challenges of positioning Ritchie sharply with a limited budget. Thanks to his network, he succeeds in bringing the brand to the attention through product placement in successful TV programs such as The Masked Singer, Het Huis, and De Slimste Mens. In his presentation, he explains why having a story is so important when launching your brand, the importance of brand awareness in the growth of your brand, and how to generate brand awareness as a small player.

The Twipe story: Danny Lein is an entrepreneur and business builder with broad expertise in media and digital technologies. He started his career at P&G. After an INSEAD MBA he spent 3 years at McKinsey & Company. In 1999 he co-founded Venturebay, the first internet startup studio in Belgium which launched 2 companies, and

After successfully exiting these 2 ventures, he founded Twipe in 2011 with a mission to become one of the world’s leading news engagement platforms. He is passionate about the journalism, innovation, lean startup, artificial intelligence and high performance teams.
